express all the valuable lessons I learned working for you. Not only did you
challenge me to look within myself, you taught me things I could not have
learned elsewhere. I have gained not only skills, but confidence in myself to
reach for the stars. It is amazing how much I learned in such a short amount of
time. You truly care about your impact on society, and it shows with your
dedication to your interns. I now have the knowledge to pursue my dream career
as an event planner. Thank you so much for a great opportunity and amazing
experience. I will never forget my internship at Do An Event, and all the fun
times we had planning spectacular events."

"I can’t even begin to
thank you enough for the great experience you gave me. I feel so lucky to have
worked for you and I know that I have not only gained knowledge in the event
planning field, but also life skills that I might not have learned elsewhere. I feel
so proud to have worked on the Komen Race and am so thankful that you trusted me
to come into this internship and join such a massive project. You have opened my
eyes to the event planning world and have really helped me to understand what
being an event planner entails. Not only did I have fun everyday I was working,
but I feel like I made a new friend (you of course) that helped me figure out
more about myself. Once again, I can’t even begin to tell you what a wonderful
experience this was for me and how great it was working with you."

well-rounded and successful business. I can’t thank Kevin enough for his
patience and time in teaching me and allowing me to explore his realm of
expertise. I gained a tremendous amount of knowledge which is something that I

internship with Do An Event was invaluable. I not only learned about
planning fabulous events, but also how to stand out as a professional in the
industry and how to run an independent business. My internship with Do An
Event also led to future career moves including planning the Sacramento Valley
AIDS Run/Walk and obtaining my current marketing job with United Way California
Capital Region. Kevin, you were and still are a great mentor to me and
someone I can count on for any professional or personal advice. You were
an amazing teacher who had the ability to teach, even through times of chaos as
we were setting up an event. You are the first one to pull an intern aside
and explain why you made a particular decision. This is a rare quality to
find. I’m so thankful that I met you. Again, thank you for taking a
chance on a scrappy college student." Jennifer Spencer - Recreation

drift out of my comfort zone to make contact with the appropriate party."
