First of
all, thank you! You have been one of the best instructors I have ever had. This
intern-ship was a dream come true and one I could have never imagined to be so
great. I know that I would not have learned as much about the industry from
anyone or any place else. What you have taught me is invaluable. Even the
situations that were not best served as the some of the most valuable learning
points. No matter what was going on, everything was always a teaching
moment. Although weddings were not my first choice in events when I started, I
know now that I definitely don’t want to plan them. Thank you for opening my
eyes to that! I look forward to using what I learned from you in the industry
and, one day, be as successful as you are. Anyone who has the chance to learn
from you is very lucky.

how to run an independent business. My internship with Do An Event also led to
future career moves including planning the Sacramento Valley AIDS Run/Walk and
obtaining my current marketing job with United Way California Capital Region.
Kevin, you were and still are a great mentor to me and someone I can count on
for any professional or personal advice. You were an amazing teacher who had
the ability to teach, even through times of chaos as we were setting up an
event. You are the first one to pull an intern aside and explain why you made a
particular decision. This is a rare quality to find. I’m so thankful that I
met you. Again, thank you for taking a chance on a scrappy college student."
