Susan G. Komen Sacramento Race for the Cure,
Post Race EXPO Each year, on the day before Mother's Day, the
Race for the Cure sees the numbers of attendee's grow. 2007, the Foundation's
25th Anniversary, nearly 25,000 people participated and in 2008, over 25,000! Do An Event assisted
in
producing an outstanding and exciting celebration once everyone crossed the
finish line. The Do An Event team
incorporated a fresh new colorful look with over 13,500 feet of pink and white
vinyl, established volunteer guidelines and job descriptions for the over 932
volunteers, added 6 INFO Czars to the California Exposition Fair Grounds and
distributed over 350 signs, gave away over 19,000 baked items, 14,000 pieces of
fresh fruit, 10,400 Yoplait yogurts and 21,000 beverages! So needless to say,
they needed the 91 port-o-lets!

"Open House Gala"
Do An Event designed a "living in harmony" themed event to celebrate
the joining of two different firms sharing one corporate home. A lime green and
black color scheme popped against the natural colors of their office building. A
pianist greeted guest as they walked the elegant black carpet entrance.
lined with eye-level birdcages had luscious hanging baskets filled with lime
colored flowers and fresh fruits and vegetables. Out the rear of the building
and under a 500 foot-long gazebo, a culinary partner was mated at each of the 5
wine tasting stations. A palate cleansing station with sparkling waters and
hand-made sorbets were offered. Latin jazz filled the air and a cigar lounge
with live flaming torches was a huge hit with corporate clients.
Professional Beauty Federation of California's "W.O.W."
Do An Event was hired just 14 days prior to 2006 PBFC's event date. We
managed to provide a beautiful 30'x60' tent to hold "W.O.W. - Welcome to Our
World" - a day spa for California Legislators and staff. In the tent were
stylists, manicurists, masseurs and make-up artists, all pampering the guests of
PBFC. Scrumptious light hors de oeuvre and a delicious pear soda were butler
served throughout this 4 hour extravaganza. Do An Event has been
invited back each year since to grow the event in all aspects. Reaching our State's political decision makers, in this unique way,
is a
perfect match for Do An Event.
IKEA Job Fair
Do An Event was challenged by the area's new IKEA store to transform an empty
office building into a 4-day job fair. It was 25,000 sq. feet simply within 4
walls. We brought in diesel generators to provide electricity and heat. We then,
in partnership with IKEA's logistics team, created a traffic flow that attendees
would follow to complete the job fair process. Over 1200 feet of extension
cords, 1400 feet of expo drape, 110 tables and nearly 600 chairs were set into
place to accommodate the nearly 3000 applicants. Do An Event was also charged with providing the current staff with their
year-end holiday party. Challenged by the industrial gray of the store's loading
dock...orange and red seemed to excite both the mood and staff.
Dream Home Showcase
Do An Event was a vital partner in the Logistics Management of
all 3 Dream Home Showcase's for the Northern California Building Industry Association.
These
bi-annual public events looked at the Sacramento region's best in home design, interior design and landscaping. They
were one of our favorite events yet one that challenged us the most to accomplish. As the
on-site logistics management firm, we
were responsible for all public access areas. Starting with the layout of the remote parking lot, shuttle bus route to the
site and staffing of the ticket office. We directed all deliveries including the public restrooms, sponsor's tents, food court and stage area, temporary landscaping and the installation of all directional signage. This 4-week, 5-weekend tour featured 5 multi-million dollar custom mansions at
these prestigious gated communities; Twelve Bridges, Lincoln, California 2005, Empire Ranch, Folsom, CA.
2003 and Serrano, El Dorado, CA.
2001.

This letter of appreciation is to
tell what a wonderful experience we have had working with Kevin Cohee and his
great team of experts. They are just what your event and party needs to be a
success. They will work hard and diligently to create the environment for
a great experience. They are fun yet very professional and extremely attentive
to all the details that make the event something you won't soon forget. As a
working professional myself, we know what is needed to do a consistently great
job and they have it! We have been working with Do An Event for many years and
they are at the top of our list to work with.

Kevin,
Everyone (including Ted & me) truly enjoyed themselves last Friday. Someone
asked if we could have a New Years party - so I guess that suggests it was
fun for all. The decorations were elegant yet magical, great for adults and
children. I just loved the spontaneity / child like feeling of the evening.

Hi, Kevin,
Just a quick note to thank you and your team again for an
incredible day yesterday at W.O.W.
What a wonderful group you have....personable, professional,
and motivated. You know what they say...that tone of success always starts
at the top, and that is you!
We'll talk more...just didn't want the day to go by without
thanking you profusely for your great effort, patience, and imaginative
approach to hosting a memorable affair -- in the unique style of Do An
Event!
Alex and I walked into our house at midnight last night,
feeling exhausted but exhilarated. It's that same way today....feeling an
all-time high despite those puffy eyes and sore feet!
Thanks again!
All the best,
Sharon E.

Greetings, Kevin!
I just wanted to let you know that I've heard nothing but positive feedback
regarding the organizing of the event and how smoothly everything seemed to go
for participants. You and I both know that there are challenges around that
process, but as far as how others perceived it, I've heard only positives. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you
for all your hard work and for going above and beyond to insure a smooth running
process. You and Allison added a level of professionalism and an added touch
that raised the bar several notches, which is much appreciated and will keep us
reaching higher in years to come. Allison's skill level reflects beyond her
years and I'm sure her internship with you facilitated that process. So, thanks a million and let's not wait another
five years to stay in touch. Jan Trifiro

Kevin was instrumental in the success of our "Intergenerational Tea" this past year (October 1999) for the patients of the Breast Cancer Early Detection Program. We had never done an event like this, but with Kevin's support in the concept and his creative, artistic implementation, it was a huge success. What I really appreciated was Kevin's ability to listen to our thoughts, requirements and ideas, as well as our limitations; he put together a beautiful event that was reflective of our guests, staff and the mission of our program. We were so impressed by his abilities, we immediately booked him for the next years event. (Along with a few more in between!) I highly recommend
Do An Event to anyone looking for a professional, organized, creative and unique event with a personal touch.

Do An Event was invaluable in helping the Center for Psychotherapy create a thoroughly successful booth at a trade show event. Though each aspect of Kevin's planning and delivery was exceptional, three stand out especially. First, his negotiating ability and vast knowledge of services allowed me to recoup much more than his fee in savings. Second, he thought of a hundred details that I never would have remembered on my own. Third, Kevin was able to significantly reduce everyone's anxiety and stress levels throughout the process -- even though WE were the psychotherapists!
